Handling Marketing for an Athlete

I had the pleasure of meeting Ben Young in Collingwood in the winter of 2019. We chatted about his upcoming racing season and his goals. When Forty Four was launched we asked Ben if we could come to his last race of the season being held at the iconic Canadian Tire Motorsports Park (Mosport). Spending the last five summer shooting Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge in Canada and the US, and the Weathertech series I was excited to shooting motorcycle racing for the first time.

I knew the track extremely well because I had also filmed numerous customer track days and charity events on this track. However, motorcycles use the track so differently and go soooooo much FASTER than race cars.

After a huge crash in the Superpole Qualifying round, Ben got on his backup BMW Motorcycle and ran a clean race and won the Pro Superbike Championship that day.

Today (October 15, 2019) I'm proud to announce that we will be the Marketing / Media company behind Ben Young Racings 2020 season. Our first job was to produce a sponsorship package to go out to potential sponsors. We then shot a quick video where Ben talks about the 2019 season and teases his plans for his 2020 race season (video below). Next we'll continue finding sponsors (email us if interested!!!), assist in an event happening at the end of November to celebrate winning the championship. First thing in the new year we'll get into designing his new race suit and motorcycle wrap. Then a photoshoot and social media plan.
